loyola of san leandro. abc7 news reporter nick smith has more on the victims. he spoke with a friend visiting one of the women in the hospital at stanford today. nick. reporter: you know, at least two of the women who survived the fiery accident are in stanford medical center behind me. we have new to the abc newsroom video that shows how alarming this smoky, fiery car really was. look at this video. this is new to abc7 news, given to us by a viewer who happened to be passing by the burning limousine stopped on the bridge. now, traffic had already started to slow, so the driver pulled out the camera to capture the action. you can see the thick dark smoke covering the back of the stretch hem seen, even more disturbing are the flames in the back. you can see two cars pulled off the road. possibly attempting to help those trapped inside. today, family members and friends are shocked by what happened. ivy and roy knew one of the four women who escaped from the burning car. nelia arellano, and she is being treated for minor injuries, and they also knew the bride who did not escape the smo

accident. nbc bay area's kristi smith joins us live in san mateo county with the very latest. kristi, good morning. >> reporter: good morning to you, martinez. yeah, the coroner just released that grim list to me. all five women killed in that limousine fire over the weekend. they range in age from 31 to 46 years old. the coroner hasn't released the exact manner of death but they tell me they really aren't expecting surprises in their investigation. the women who died were michee e estre estrera, 35, anna alcantara, 46 years old. felomina geornga, 43 years old, neriza for has and jennifer balon. they tell me she lived in dublin. nine nurses on the way to a bridal party in foster city burst into flames as it was nearly over the san mateo bridge. the doors may have locked leaving the windows of the driver's department the escape route. four made it out. the rest deceased near the window including neriza for has, it was her bridal party. they exceeded the limit by one but too soon to see what the cause was. the investigation isn't over. they still need toxicology reports. because of the

city's top cop turns in his badge. christie smith joins us live from oakland now with what's in that recently released report. good morning, christie. >> reporter: good morning, jon. a number of officers are outside for this annual memorial service they told here at the oakland police department. the acting chief is out here as well. he just left that press conference with consultants and the mayor where they outlined new crime-fighting tactics saying essentially they have to make some tough decisions given oakland's staffing shortages and rising crime problems. they talked about dividing the workloads for the most serious crimes, things like homicides and assaults, getting civilians to help respond to burglary reports saying they're not getting the response that they need. the report is by the bratton group at a cost of about $250,000 to the city of oakland. this comes just one day after police chief howard jordan stepped down, citing an undisclosed medical condition after just 19 months on the job. higher crime and a week after a critical report by the overseer of critical leadersh

ya. nelia arellano, and amalia loyola of san leandro. abc7 news reporter nick smith has more on the victims. he spoke with a friend visiting one of the women in the hospital at stanford today. nick. reporter: you know, at least two of the women who survived the fiery accident are in stanford medical center behind me. we have new to the abc newsroom video that shows how alarming this smoky, fiery car really was. look at this video. this is new to abc7 news, given to us by a viewer who happened to be passing by the burning limousine stopped on the bridge. now, traffic had already started to slow, so the driver pulled out the camera to capture the action. you can see the thick dark smoke covering the back of the stretch hem seen, even more disturbing are the flames in the back. you can see two cars pulled off the road. possibly attempting to help those trapped inside. today, family members and friends are shocked by what happened. ivy and roy knew one of the four women who escaped from the burning car. nelia arellano, and she is being treated for minor injuries, and they also knew the
